    Hello,
I created a new e-commerce using the “PayPal Checkout” payment setting and not the “PayPal Standard” setting that redirects customers to PayPal.
Everything works, but in the order summary I find these two counting items, why?

In other e-commerce always made with woocommerce I use “PayPal Standard” and there are not these two counting items in the order summary.

Can you give me some information about it?
    Thank you

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I understand that you’re using this PayPal Checkout plugin and unlike when using PayPal Standard, the order summary shows two lines, “PayPal Payout” and “PayPal Fee”.

PayPal Standard and PayPal Checkout work slightly differently and the functionality available with one payment method might not be available with the other one. In this particular case, it seems like PayPal Checkout adds the information about fees taken by PayPal and PayPal Standard omits that information.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi,

    Thank you for answering,
so those two pieces of information are not commissions that add up to PayPal Standard.
But it simply shows the information on the commissions taken by PayPal.

    Thank you

Indeed, when PayPal Standard payment method is used – this information is not displayed.

PayPal Standard and PayPal Checkout are two completely different payment methods so features available in one might not be available in the other one.

Maybe I did not say it clear enough.
I mean that these two pieces of information are not extra commissions that are added because PayPal Checkout is used.
But they are simply listed, but they are taxes already present in PayPal Standard, even if they are not shown. Correct?

    Thank you

Indeed, the main difference here is that PayPal Standard doesn’t show commission in that particular location, while PayPal Checkout does.

PayPal fees depend on a country but yes, there’s a chance PayPal Standard and PayPal Checkout fees are identical for you.
