No, this is not related to WooCommerce. I think Paypal changed their policy and you have to create an PP account first then you’re able to pay via CC. But not 100% sure, call them.

I am not sure I understand your answer:
Do you mean customers have to open a paypal account to be able to pay to see the option to pay with credit card?

If this is the case I am surprised no one else is discussing it anywhere?

I will be interested to know if others have this problem or found a way around it?

I only found 2 wp discussions on that issue from over a year ago and nothing since. In both cases it seems related to sandbox testing which would not be relevant in my case.

No, I am not talking about sandbox. I am referring to live. A long while ago maybe 3 or 4 years ago Paypal clearly has a credit card payment option ALONG with login to Paypal account to pay.

But recently I’ve see situations where it will only let you pay if you have an account. Now, I am not sure if this is something you set in your Paypal account or not and it could be possible it will differ depending on if you have Business account versus Personal account. But as I mentioned prior, best to contact Paypal to get this cleared up for you.

    Thanks coming by and clarifying
It is a business account and it is verified
there used to be a simple way to set this up inside paypal as explained here:

    https://wphow.org/setup-paypal-to-accept-credit-cards/

But they have changed things inside and it does not seem to have this option in the same place any longer.

If anyone who know where to do it in paypal that would be great…

No this is incorrect. I just set up a new PayPal “payflow” account which allows credit card transactions without having to create a paypal account. I am using Events Manager for WP and using their checkout system and works fine (for event payments). Now that I’ve installed Woocommerce for retail and chose Woocommerce’s Paypal choice, it does not allow credit card payments. There needs to be a different coding to allow “payflow” Paypal vs the Paypal Standard option within the Woocommerce plugin.

Woocommerce needs to address this without having to pay additional money for a Paypal plugin to allow this type of transaction. (Yes, Woocommerce has different Paypal transaction options via PAID plugins) which is just wrong, imho, if they are offering PayPal as a checkout option, it should include ALL PayPal payment solutions.

    Hello,

please, is there anybody who solved this problem?

The same for me. I use lates WP and Woocommerce version. It doesn’t work in sandbox neither in normal state.

Very strange that it works when I try it with mobilephone wit old Android version. So I think it is not problem with my and customer country (it is Czech Republic)

I have bussiness account, confirmed bank account, credit card, e-mail, optional settings set ON.

Yesterday I found shop https://knotyou.ca/ where is everithing OK. It uses the same Woocommerce version as me.

I don’t understand what is wrong.

    I’m desperate by this.

    Can somebody help me?

    Thank you.
