    Hi,

I’m trying to setup Forminator with PayPal payments.

I keep getting the following message:

“You’ve entered an invalid sandbox secret key”

I have tried to get this to work by deleting the PayPal API and recreating it. I also entered the secret and Client ID for both the sandbox and live APIs I have.

Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Burak

    Hi @berkora

I hope you are doing good today.

Could you in the first place check your:
    Sandbox Client ID
    Sandbox Secret
    Live Client ID
    Live Secret Key
in a notepad before pasting to the “Connect PayPal Account” box and see is there any additional space at the end for any of those values? If so remove them and try once more.

Also please note PayPal Setup requires actual sandbox and live key during the PayPal configuration.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

I have the same problem, I also tried with the solution proposed by @wpmudevsupport13 but with no success.

    Hi @dangellotto

I do understand the issue with the thread sounds similar. However, if you are still facing the same issue, could you please open a new topic regarding this with our support so that we could investigate further regarding this?

It would be better to troubleshoot the issue separately rather on another users thread to avoid miscommunication.

Please use the following URL to open a new thread with our support:

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I had copied and pasted my sandbox and live ids and secrets into notepad, but there were no spaces.

I am using the sandbox and live ids.

Please let me know what else I can do.

    Thanks

    Hi @berkora

Could you try to recreate your API on the PayPal and check if the issue is gone?

In case it persists, do you have a staging website or a full backup of your website to run a plugin conflict test following this flow?

Let us know the result you got.

    Hi Patrick,

I had deleted and re-created the API before my original post. I tried it again, but it did not work.

I don’t have the ability to test on another environment.

Is there anything else you suggest?

    Burak

    Hi @berkora,

I was testing this on two of my installations and was able to connect PayPal on both of them without any issues so it seems that there’s something specific on your site that is causing this and that is why the conflict test should be done.

I would suggest creating a backup of your site and then proceed with the test by disabling everything except Forminator.
If the issue is gone, re-activate the plugins one by one until it happens again. This will tell us where the conflict is coming from so we can debug it further from our end.

    Cheers,

    Hello @berkora ,

We haven’t heard from you for several days now. It looks like you were able to solve this issue.

In any case please feel free to re-open this ticket.

    Good Evening Kasia,

Thanks for the follow up. I was not able to resolve my problem and ended up abandoning Forminator.

It’s too bad, because the plugin showed real promise. However, not having the ability to integrate with PayPal is a dealbreaker for me.

    Thanks for trying.

    Hi @berkora,

Sorry to hear you decided to abandon Forminator, if you ever get some time to perform the conflict test on a staging site and find the culprit of the cause of this on your installation we would love to hear the results as we’re constantly working on further improving the plugin.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
