I received an email stating that PayPal would be retiring the Fraud Management Filters (FMF) and the Risk Control tool on October 31, 2022. Meaning transactions processed through any PayPal checkout using these risk tools will no longer be evaluated by PayPal for fraud after October 31st.

Is the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin impacted by this?

    Hi @jej12,

Is the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin impacted by this?

As far as I am aware, these are tools for old integrations lke NVO/SOAP API or Payflow. PayPal Payments does not implement either of these services, so I doubt this changes anything for you. PayPal Payments utilizes more modern fraud management tools at PayPal.
To learn more about it, I suggest reaching out to the PayPal Merchant Support .

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
