Hello, quick question. I am setting up your plugin for PayPal REST and needed to find out if a site needs to be PCI compliant to use the PayPal REST option? I have SSL, but am not 100 percent PCI compliant yet and would like my clients to have a seemless experience without going to the PayPal site. Thank you.

    Hi There,

I think this ticket was replied on our support portal, but for quick notes for others here is the answer which was given.

Yes, you would need to be compliant to use REST or any direct credit card processing option. If you’re just setting this up for the first time, though, you won’t be able to use REST DCC. They killed that and are directing people to Braintree now, which I would recommend as well.

If you use the Braintree Drop In UI it will give you a PCI compliant integration for DCC and PayPal. You can also enable Express Checkout separate from Braintree to add PayPal buttons to your product pages, cart pages, etc.

With that, I am going to mark this as resolved but feel free to write us again if you have any other questions about that.
    Thanks!
