Paypal Plus not always redirecting to Paypal

  • Hello,
    while testing in live-mode I’m experiencing that after hitting the buy-button (paying-mode:paypal) the shop often does not connect to paypal
    (no message like: “Thank you for your order. We are now redirecting you to PayPal to make payment.”)but behaving like I had chosen the wc-option: manual bank transfer. This seems to happen often when I start the testing.
    After several test-purchases the redirection to paypal starts working.
    Any idea how this problem can be solved?
    (In the debug-logfile all attempts are listed, do you need it?)

    Hello,
    I found out that redirection to paypal only works when I click (on ckeckout) on another payment option and then back to the paypal option. If I don’t click on a payment option (as the paypal payment option is preselected) I will not be redirected to the paypal frame, but thrown back to manual bank transfer.

    We are currently working on moving PayPal Plus to its own separate plugin so that we can focus more on the features it provides for the countries it supports.

    Keep your eye out for the next PayPal for Woo update, which will provide details about obtaining the new PayPal Plus plugin.

    We’re addressing any issues like this we’ve had reported from the beta included in PayPal for WooCommerce.

    no forwarding at all….

    @rowphant, if you’re having trouble with PayPal Plus please submit a ticket here and we can work with you directly.

    What I can tell you, though, is that troubles with Plus almost always come down to caching / CDN conflicts.
