I installed Paypal woocommerce plugin and set it up with my business paypal account and everything is well configured as I followed the activation steps. But on the checkout page, paypal option and buttons and everything is not showing.
I have another website where it is working very well with the same paypal account.

On paypal developer account, at the event log, I get the “Authorization error” for the request path “POST /v1/billing-agreements/agreement-tokens”

  • Check your checkout page when you have the plugin activated. When you select PayPal as the payment option, does it show a YELLOW PayPal button or does it show your usual “pay now/place order” button.

If you don’t see the PAYPAL button, you should try to get to version 2.0.5. of this plugin. That one is the last version that worked for me. After that – bugs with the paypal buttons on checkout which creates errors on relaying the order data to Paypal and customers can’t pay.

Paypal option on checkout in not showing at all to select it. I tried Version 2.0.5 and nothing changed, paypal checkout option is not showing anywhere on the website knowing that the plugin is 100% well setup and the paypal account is working 100% well as it is wordking on another website just fine.

    Hello @omarben,

If you are not seeing anything related to our plugin on the checkout page, I would expect that the onboarding did not completely succeed.
First I would check if all 4 fields of the connection tab are entered (Email address, Merchant Id, Client Id and Secret Key). If that is the case, you might still want to try disconnecting and onboarding the plugin again.

If that does not make any difference or if the account was already correctly onboarded, you might want to test the checkout, with all other plugins (except WooCommerce and PayPal Payments) deactivated. If that shows the correct situation, you might have a plugin conflict, and you might need to do some further testing in order to find out what plugin (or theme) is causing this. You can follow these instructions to do this conflict testing.

One last idea: your currency might not be supported by PayPal. Please test this by switching to a more common currency, like Euro or Dollar, and see if that make the button appear.

If none of this helped, you might want to share your system report, so we can take another look. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well).

    Kind regards,

The website was configured with a currency PayPal doesn’t support, which can result in the buttons not appearing. However, since our team was able to help out in a private support ticket, I’ll mark this thread as resolved.

Thanks again for the feedback and please feel free to reach out anytime if any other questions come up.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
