    Hi,

In the last 5-6 days we have not been receiving any payments from Paypal with customers contacting us with this error.

“You have reached the maximum allowed number of orders in 24 hours. Please try again later.”

We have not had a successful payment since the 9th of September using Paypal. We have Stripe install where payments are still getting through which leads me to believe that this is a Paypal issue.

I’ve looked on my Paypal account to see whether there are any limits on our account and cannot see any so far and we have not been contacted by Paypal to say otherwise.

At this stage, any help will be appreciated as we losing potential orders.

    Best Regards

    Hello @campkins

our plugin does not have any function that would ever return such a response, this must be coming from PayPal itself and the only way you can get this sorted out is to contact the PayPal merchant support.

We are pretty sure this is not related to the plugin, so I will place this thread on resolved. Let me know if you don’t agree and how we can further help you.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hello, @campkins

Were you able to resolve this issue? We recently began experiencing the same problem, and are unable to discern the cause.

    Appreciate any insights!

    Hi @jeffrey2915,

The issue must be related to the PayPal account itself, so your best contact would be the PayPal Merchant Technical Support. You can reach them from here:
    https://www.paypal-techsupport.com/s/login/?language=en_US
But for any further questions regarding the plugin itself, feel free to either create your own thread or reach out directly from here:

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Thank you for the speedy response!

Following up here for the benefit of others, as there is VERY little info to be found elsewhere.

In fact, we discovered that the problem was caused by a setting in the WooCommerce Anti-Fraud plugin.

The setting for “Check if customer attempts to make a purchase too many times within the time period configured below” was inadvertently set to 24 hours. This compounded the underlying problem, which was a misconfigured PayPal gateway; combined, they prevented both our troubleshooting efforts, and Customers attempting to re-submit their Orders.

    Resolved!
