Paypal payment before registration to event

    Hi,

    I put in a dummy registration to an event that needs a payment through payapal to attend, but I stopped short before filling out the paypal details to pay for the event. I come up as registered for the event inside the wordpress site.

    Does that mean that people can register for my events without paying?

    Or is it the place just on hold for an hour or something? Then disappears after a certain amount of time if the person doesnt pay?

    I need people to pay before they get registered for the event.

    Im using 5.5.7.1 version of the pluggin. So its the latest version of the pluggin and the latest version of wordpress. This is the free version of the pluggin.

    Hi there, a couple of things i forgot to mention:

    I just have paypal standard.

    Also, all the screen shots in the documentation for this pluggin look nothing like mine…. (also the features)

    The PayPal gateway we supply is only part of the Events Manager Pro plugin. Do you have the Pro plugin or have you created your own payment gateway for PayPal?

    Hi there,

    Im using the free version of the event manager pluggin – so not the pro version…. (see my message above).

    We are just using a free basic paypal account – not business or premier etc.

    I just set up paypal through the free version of the event manager pluggin…. the screen/ tab that says payment.

    Hi there,

    I noticed too that your support documentation screen shots etc doesnt match what i see with the basic event manager i installed….. is the support documentation out of date? or only for event manager pro? i went in through the free version of the pluggin (which i bought – not the pro version) and it gave me these screens that dont match mine.

    Hi there, the paypal payments i set up is in event settings, under event payment. Again, this is not event manager pro – just the free one.

    Do i need to purchase event manager pro to ensure that registrations for events with an event registration form and that link to paypal afterwards for payment, are actually paid for before people automatically get registered to the event?

    I have tested it and found that i come up registered for the event after hitting the register button – but not filling in the paypal payment. so in effect, people can register for the event without paying – which is a problem.

    I cant find anything on this in your support documentation.

    Sorry, I’m still not following this… There is no tab called Payment in Events Manager. Given that, I don’t follow how you’ve set this up. Can you post a link to one of your events?

    Can you tell us what documentation / tutorial you were looking that didn’t match what you saw?

    In the Pro version there is full PayPal integration, including reserving of tickets, etc.

    I am an idiot – sorry Ive had a bad head cold. Im not using this plugin im using the Quick Events plugin. Am sorry for wasting your time! I had the two plugins there but yours isnt activated.
