    Hello,

    Logged-in to the site:
When using the PayPal option to checkout from the mini-cart, product page or cart page, it doesn’t work unless the customer has all the billing information filled out in the WooCommerce Account Details section before they use that feature. When clicking the button, it looks like something trys to pop-up but quickly disappears and an error saying use a different payment shows.

Is there an option somewhere where these fields can be filled out immediately by a pop-up module via PayPal or some other form when clicking the button, because it confuses the customer and the point of having it on the mini-cart, product page and cart page is to checkout immediately from there without going to the checkout page. When they click it and an error comes up, they have no idea what is going on because there is no direction.

    When logged out of site:
You can click the the PayPal buttons on the mini-cart, product page and cart page and proceed to checkout via PayPal as a guest. I haven’t tested it myself but when clicking the buttons, PayPal login pops up. That doesn’t do it when you’re logged in, with no billing details filled out.

I am not sure if I am missing a setting or there is something else that is causing some issue or maybe I am just dumb and this is supposed to be like this? :\

    Hi @carmpocalypse,

There are no particular settings in this regard, but there is a potential compatibility issue that was introduced in the latest update 2.0 when the WooCommerce default customer location is configured with No location by default.
Changing this setting to Shop country/location or alternatively downgrading to the previous version 1.9.5 should work around this issue.
Please let us know how this works for you. If it does not, we are interested in a copy of your WooCommerce system report to better understand the site configuration. The system report can be accessed from here:

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hello,

Setting WooCommerce default customer location from No location by default to Shop country/location did not work while using plugin version 2.0.0.

However, I downgraded the plugin from 2.0.0 to 1.9.5 and the PayPal button now works correctly on the mini-cart, product page and cart page. I also tested it out on both No location by default and Shop country/location. Both work using version 1.9.5.

Thank you for your support and looking forward to the updated version with the fix!

    Hi @carmpocalypse,

    Thanks for the feedback.
Could you please give it a try with this pre-release version of the upcoming update?
This should be officially released in the coming days, and it resolves some validation problems that could happen after the 2.0 update. But I’m not sure if the issue you reported is resolved with it as well, as we haven’t been able to reproduce it. So feedback would be highly appreciated.

But to clarify this part further:

Is there an option somewhere where these fields can be filled out immediately by a pop-up module via PayPal or some other form when clicking the button, because it confuses the customer and the point of having it on the mini-cart, product page and cart page is to checkout immediately from there without going to the checkout page.

When using the express buttons from the non-Checkout pages, the customer still has to complete the payment process from your native Checkout page: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#paypal-on-non-checkout-pages
But when the customer is sent from the PayPal popup window to your Checkout, all fields are supposed to be already filled with the PayPal account details.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Since we have not heard back from you in a while, I’m marking this thread as resolved for now. Hopefully, the above information helped you out.

The latest update 2.0.1 resolves a couple of compatibility problems and I suggest giving it a try and letting us know if any problems remain.
Beyond this, if you have any further questions, please feel free to reopen this topic or create a new one.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
