WooCommerce core doesn’t have a default option to accept PayPal payments in your store; you must use a plugin or extension for that.

Checking your System Status Report, the only PayPal-related plugin I see is the Affiliate WP - PayPal Payouts; which could lead to the cause of the issue you have.

Are you using another method or some custom coding to accept PayPal payments in your store? Kindly let us know.

Gotcha, I am using PayPal standard, which I thought was included in WooCommerce.

I think I figured out why some of my payments were coming up with the “Validation error: PayPal amounts do not match (gross 227.75). Order status changed from Pending payment to On hold.” error is that PayPal was charging sales tax in certain states. I removed that setting from PayPal, so I imagine that issue will go away.

The one I’m hoping to fix by disabling the AffiliateWP PayPal plugin is the payments that are Pending Payment.

I’ll let you know if disabling that plugin stops this bug.
