paypal money on hold and only shows pending payment on my wc

    hi
    since there’s censership for my paypal acc and my money would be hold on status
    but on my wocommerce it would still be pending payment

    that’s not right, it should be on hold on my wc

    and i have asked paypal for help, here’s their reply:

    We can see the high light fields: paymentinfo_0_paymentstatus “Completed_Funds_Held” & paymentinfo_0_holddecision “PaymentHold”, they indicate that the payment is charged successfully, but in payment hold status for some review process. I guess maybe the plugin from woocommerce didn’t identify and handle these fields and status very well, which cause they cannot change the payment status correspondingly.

    i hope maybe ur team should response this bug to woocommerce or could u help me?

  • If I’m understanding your situation correctly… Why would you think Woocommerce should be “hold” status? PayPal has processed the payment… the payment has left the customer’s card or account and is in PayPal’s hands. They are holding the funds from release to you until they can be sure there isn’t a chargeback from the customer. That doesn’t have anything to do with Woocommerce.

    Kindly confirm if you are using Webtoffee’s PayPal Express Checkout Payment Gateway for WooCommerce plugin to accept Paypal payments in your site?

    yes i only use this PayPal Express Checkout Payment Gateway
    i don’t have other payments ways

    Hi @liuhagaren,

    As you mentioned, if the payment hasn’t been updated in the account, PayPal won’t pass the necessary parameters to mark the order as processing. Payment being held on PayPal means the order is pending as far as Woocommerce end is concerned.
