We notice that often when someone submits the donation form they will see the spinning wheel for a while before it finally takes them to PayPal. We’ve see it average anywhere from 3-10 seconds, but some visitors have said it wouldn’t do anything for them at all.

Sorry about that. We had to pull it because they had a push of donors and too many people were complaining that it either took a long time, or that it wouldn’t take them to PayPal. She would test on her phone and it was slow but it would eventually work, and her Husband would do it sitting right next to her and it wouldn’t work.

Hey @zerojjc,

When I access your site and I try to make a donation, I see the following error:

Error: We’re unable to recognize your session. Please refresh the screen to try again; otherwise contact your website administrator for assistance.

That means that something is breaking the PHP session on the site. GiveWP uses PHP sessions to ensure that donors only have access to their own donation data (among other things). We have a detailed document that explains what a PHP session is, and how you can troubleshoot broken sessions: https://givewp.com/documentation/core/frequent-troubleshooting-issues/understanding-troubleshooting-user-access/

The number one thing that causes sessions to mess up is caching. We also have a far-more-information-than-you-bargained-for article about caching and how you can leverage it on your GiveWP-powered website: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/caching/

If donors are getting the message you mentioned, it’s almost always an indication that the caching happening on your site on that page is pulling over the session from a previous visitor.

Hi @matheusfd,

I thought that may have been the issue in the past, which I had Hummingbird stop caching the Give Forms.

So if it was still somehow being cached, I just went ahead and turned caching off for everything except the home page. Can you check again and see if that problem persists on your end?
