    Dear WP Give, I see a few people are having issues trying to get PayPal to connect. I have tried several times, finally getting through PayPal’s questions and then being returned back to the WP Give Dashboard where I got the error message below:
    ————————————————————

    Greetings!

    I am trying to connect my PayPal account to the GiveWP plugin for WordPress. I have gone through the onboarding process to connect my account, but when I finish I'm given the following message from GiveWP:

        PayPal client access token API request response is:
        {"scope":"openid https:\/\/api.paypal.com\/v1\/vault\/credit-card\/.* https:\/\/uri.paypal.com\/services\/subscriptions https:\/\/api.paypal.com\/v1\/vault\/credit-card","accessToken":"A23AAO8zP3DnTO9hFNC6ofPM7MPABSiQBavUA2O72V6Hrl1NH4v0rkf8s6qsfPiqPckeCgoJE65uTsjJUKSqUZ265ZdsPbrTQ","tokenType":"Bearer","expiresIn":28800,"refreshToken":"R23.AAPjVQKNoul695BZrEqAM3lHpXIn23dMShMHHWW8BasOeA9usZDLy6RYdKE8e324PMIAV9WeIhDBaX0yIQwdlHi3Wz3iFWs6brOVAWMQ0tFywRi_OHFA7k0faa1_0fB8k-eo9uCHXfPTwO0FnQ","nonce":"2021-11-24T08:51:57ZvHJI9PK1N3-2wNngezyv2GZLN0hTKnf-amgWsULHH3M"}
        PayPal client REST API credentials API request response is:
        {"name":"RATE_LIMIT_REACHED","debug_id":"b189d0e8efd28","message":"Too many requests. Blocked due to rate limiting."}
        There was a problem with the PayPal client REST API request. We could not find a valid client ID and secret.

    Please help me resolve these account errors so I can begin accepting payments via PayPal in GiveWP.

    ———————————————————————————-
    I have contacted PayPayl and they told me to contact you with this message below:
    ———————————————————————————-

    Welcome to PayPal Messaging, my name is Blaithin and I will be assisting you today.
    Thank you for your query, the message you are getting regarding the rate limit error is basically your website telling you to ‘slow down’ as this is how a website handles incoming traffic.
    For any queries regarding this you will need to contact your developer or the GiveUP plugin may be able to provide support or documents regarding this. It is not something we would be able to assist you with.
    ———————————————————————————
    I really like the ease of WP Give and this issue is the only thing stopping me launching my live web site.

    Please assist, as once it’s working correctly I can then consider add on’s.

    James

    Hi @jagobezzer,

    This is a known issue that affects a few customers, and unfortunately, looks like it’s affecting you, too.

    That said, here’s what has worked for some folks:

    – It seems that using an incognito browser somehow aids in making the connection. So try logging into your WordPress site in an incognito browser and see if that connects without issue to PayPal.

    – Disable cache temporarily, then try to connect again.

    Big Thank You Rick.

    That worked, I can now launch my charity site.

    Many Thanks
