• Hi there,

Unfortunately we are experiencing two issues with the Paypal plugins:

    1. (I did not even know, this was an option and thought it was not possible) Activating the Paypal button to display on the cart page does not lead to an appearance

    2. If another delivery address is inserted, paying with Paypal will overwrite this address with the address maintained in Paypal

Let me know, if you need any further information from my side.

    Thank you in advance!

    Best regards,
    Christopher

    Hi @ceem123,

The PayPal button provided by Mollie is only for virtual & downloadable products. So when there is a physical product in the Cart, the button won’t appear.

Regarding the address, this behavior is a known issue and not intended. This was already reported a while back here on GitHub.
The proposed fix doesn’t work any more I think, but this behavior should be resolved in the next update, if I judge it correctly.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi Niklas,

Thank you very much for the promising reply. We unfortunately also have another very disturbing issue. It might be a consequence of the not matching delivery addresses:
Users purchasing in our store are asked to update their passwords in the exact second they place their order with us. Are these related or is this a different one?

    Best regards,
    Christopher

    Hi Christopher,

Apologies for getting back to you just now.
This address issue when PayPal is used as a payment method should be resolved with this package.
Could you give this a try?

Users purchasing in our store are asked to update their passwords in the exact second they place their order with us. Are these related or is this a different one?

Does this apply to all users, including accounts newly registered during the Checkout?
The Mollie plugin doesn’t directly interact with the WordPress user, and also never initiates a password reset to my knowledge.
Can you reproduce this behavior consistently? If yes, does the behavior persist with only Mollie and WooCommerce, and the default theme Storefront active?
I’m not seeing the direct relationship with Mollie, so ruling out a potential conflict would be good. Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi Niklas,

Thank you for looking into this. Unfortunately the delivery address still is overwritten with what is inserted in Paypal as address.

I was not asked to update my password again. On the other hand: Maybe Paypal only asks me to do this once in combination with a purchase in our store – I don’t know.

Let me know, if I can faciliate somehow.

    Best regards,
    Christopher

    Hey @ceem123,

Apologies that it took a while, but this behavior with PayPal overriding the shipping address should be resolved for good in the latest version 7.3.7.

Please get in touch with the PayPal Merchant Support if any issues persist for you. Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
