PayPal Inventory Control Failure

Greetings;

Our Inventory Control (IC) issues are running concurrent with our IPN issues. Please reference “PayPal IPN Failure” posted 3 weeks ago. Both are similarly communication dependent.

The IC’s in WPeC have never worked. Sold items remain available in our Webstore, until we manually make delayed corrections.

PayPal Standard disallows duplicate item sales within itself, but our customer’s are forced to go well into PayPal Checkout before being denied.

Standard, Here and eBay allow duplicate sales of sold items.

We have considered temporarily shutting down Standard processing while on the road using Here, but there is no easy way to do this. We do have a single-click hide button function in WPeC, but it only works with the WPeC buttons, and so far we have not integrated the WPeC & PayPal buttons into one.

We would like PayPal to fully integrate Standard (& others), Here (for cash, cards & checks) and eBay to be jointly inventory dependent so that duplicate sales are blocked, and to provide comprehensive exportable IC Notification (ICN) sold item data. We would like WPeC to import the ICN’s and affect our product listings.

We have ended our discussions with PayPal without resolution. Here are their latest responses in part:

PayPal Standard and Here and eBay items are not in any way related, so I don’t think anything can be done. You will have to make a separate inventory record between this products.
