Paypal integration / hidden fields / blocked IP
-
Hi. Looking for some general advice trying to integrate Paypal. I’m using a Contact Form 7 form for a booking form. Some options on the form should direct the user to paypal for payment, and other options on the form will just submit the form as normal (send email). I’ve been given the code for the old booking form, which uses hidden input fields to collect the calculated price to send to Paypal. So I was trying to build this into the contact form, and my IP address was blocked several times. I spoke to my host and they confirmed that CF7 was causing the block, I presume because the hidden inputs are deemed high risk of being spam or malware.
So…my question is. Has anyone else had this happen? And how should I be going about this correctly? I guess essentially I need to have two submit buttons – one would be the paypal button, and is shown when a certain option is chosen – this should direct the user to paypal with a variable amount sent along with it (not amendable by the user), and a second button that is shown for a general form submit, if a different option is chosen on the form.
