    Hi.

Love the simplicity and elegance of the plugin – or at least I would if I could get it to talk to PayPal! ??

Everything works beautifully until I hit the button to pay, and then I get an error message saying that “We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the “Ask Seller a Question” link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at https://www.paypal.com.?”

Obviously I’ve asked PayPal but I expect my children will have grown up, left home and got married before they respond with anything useful…. ??

Google suggests it’s a problem that happens for different plugins, but I’ll be blowed if I can figure out/find the answer.

    TIA!

    Simon

Hi Simon, can you enable debug mode, check the log file and report back with any information in the log file.

In regards to the error message you received about the PayPal e-mail address, is the e-mail address correct?

While I have your attention I might as well as you a few questions. What PayPal account do you have? Have you also set up your PayPal IPN?

    Kind regards

Hi mbrsolution – thanks for the quick response. I which i could give you more info – I’m afraid the log file remains frustratingly empty (zero bytes).

WRT the email – yeah, I’ve checked. Everything, everywhere says [email protected]. The only thing I can even vaugely guess at is that this isn’t the primary email address of the PP account, though it *is* a verified email associated with the primary email address.

It’s a business account, and yes, IPN is set up (and returning to the right website).

Hi Simon if you know the primary e-mail address for PayPal account can you test that e-mail address.

    Thank you

Great minds think alike! That occurred to me just after I sent you the answer above but I get the same results. ??

Additional information…. instead of using ANY email address in the plugin, it looks as though using my Merchant Account Number might be working…

That is good to hear. Report back if your procedure works for you.

Yep – confirmed. Whatever the problem was, using a MAN solved it. Might be a handy work-around for other people until/unless whatever causes the problem is spotted and fixed. ??
