    Hello,

I have been receiving the IPN warning emails over the last few days:

“Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=ipnhandlerhttp%3A%2F%2F

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

    Yours sincerely,

    PayPal”

I got in touch with my hosting provider and they said, that they are happy to make some changes to my hosting, but asked to contact the plugin author to find out what changes need to be done.

I have been using Paid Memberships Pro over the last several months and have never had this issue and it started just a week ago or so. I don’t recall making any changes and the IPNs fail to deliver to my multiple domains with code 500.

    Could you please advice.

    Thank you

I got the same warning from PayPal today. Never had an issue in the past? Is there a fix for this or some way to correct?

I noticed that if I click on the API link, I get a http 500 error and a message that says that this page isnt working? Should I be seeing something different?

Some additional info on this problem. If I deactivate the PM Pro plugin, the URL works. As soon as I activate the plugin, the URL stops working again and I get a 500 error saying that link is not working, so I suspect that something has changed in the plugin during a recent update maybe?

    Thanks for your input mccullek.

    Any comments from the author?

I found the fix for this, at least on my end. I was getting a 500 message error when I followed the IPN link, so I searched for 500 errors and found another post where the author fixed his 500 errors by updating his PHP version from 5.4 to 5.6.

I was at version 5.4 on my site, so I updated to 5.6 and all is working well now! ??
