When a customer places an order directly on my website, the fee is applied correctly.

However, when I manually create an order and send the details via email, if the customer selects PayPal as the payment option, the fee isn’t charged. The same issue occurs if I send them the Customer Payment Page.

Is there a way to make this process automatic? Ideally, we don’t want to ask each customer for their payment method while negotiating.

    Hello diezmesino,

Thank you for contacting Woo support.

I understand when you manually create an order and send the details via email, the fee isn’t applied if the customer selects PayPal as the payment option, and the same issue occurs with the Customer Payment Page.

Which PayPal payment plugin are you using?
Could you also share screenshots of the Order Notes (visible after editing the order) where the fee is not being charged? This information will help in diagnosing the problem and finding a solution.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Sorry for the late.

I was out of the office for 4 weeks and now I’m re-connecting with my pending tasks.

I’m using the WooCommerce PayPal Payments 2.9.3 (Screenshot)

About the PayPal Fee situation, here is an example when the PayPal Fee is correctly charged to the customer:

And here is an example of when the PayPal Fee is NOT charged:

In the first case, you can see the “PayPal Fee” before the Shipping Details. In that case, the customer made all the process through our website.

In the second case, the “Paypal Fee” is not there. We sent the Customer Paymen Page Link to the customer.

I hope you can help me! Let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi @diezmesino,

Thank you for confirming the plugin with us.

While this forum focuses only on issues related to the WooCommerce core functionalities, I recommend opening a new thread under the right forum in WooCommerce PayPal Payments. Here is a direct link to open the new topic.

We’ll be more than happy to help you out there.
