Hi, I’m consistently getting emails from eShop with “Paypal IPN -A Failed Payment” even though Paypal actually processes the order.

I believe the issue is a conflict due to s2member, which I am using to run subscriptions. s2member requires the IPN in Paypal to be ON, but eShop says it should be OFF.

Is there a workaround to this?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all other plugins deactivated?

As there has not been an update to this topic for a while, I can only assume that the issue has now been resolved and I am now marking it as such. If this is incorrect, please feel free to change the topic’s status and/or post a follow-up.

Sorry, I didn’t see the point in changing themes and disabling plugins and potentially causing all sorts of problems on my website for something that seems to be an issue with the Paypal IPN setting. I need it ON for s2member, but eShop requires it to be OFF. s2member rewrites the redirect if the IPN is set to something else and thus s2member will work with other plugins that use a different redirect. But it appears eShop will not work with other plugins this way.

So… I decided to use a different shopping cart system that would work with s2member. Thanks for the response.
