• Super plugin you’ve made! I am already using Woocommerce Braintree plugin for Credit Card and PayPal transactions for both one time and recurring payments.

Can I use your PayPal Express as an alternative method for Woocommerce Subscriptions? Does your PayPal Express handle subscriptions with the Woocommerce subscription plugin?

I REALLY like the way you’ve added the special features to mini-cart, etc.,. The flow of your design is just superb.

So…. Wondering if your plugin can work for subscriptions with PayPal? And if so can it also be used in conjunction while Woocommerce Braintree is active?

    Thank you!

@roni_gabriel, Yeah , our plugin works and is compatible with woo-subscriptions but for PayPal express to work you need to get special permission in your PayPal account to accept billing agreements / Reference Transactions. Please talk to your Merchant support to get that enabled before you selling any subscriptions.

Well, you dont need any other plugin for Braintree we have already provided that along with out plugin with its DROP_IN UI feature as well. Did you tried that already?

Oh, I did not know yours worked with Braintree. SORRY I missed that feature — that’s embarrassing.. LOL.

I see it now and it works :). But with the Drop in UI there is no way to add it to the cart page as an option for PayPal direct checkout.

Will have to determine what I really want. Really like the features of the express in the mini-cart and cart page view.

Thank you for your help ??

Yes, our plugin supports PayPal Express Checkout, Braintree, and others. You can use our plugin to add each of those to your site.

With our plugin installed the gateways you have enabled with it would show up as supported gateways in the Woo Subscriptions plugin. It’s all based on token payments in WooCommerce, which our plugin fully supports for all gateways included with it.

All of that said, this is not a procedure I would take lightly. If you have a bunch of existing profiles running you would probably need to update the gateway IDs in the system to point to our gateway instead of the old one. Then it SHOULD work, but I would highly recommend running some tests before doing a full switch. I think it would be worth it to switch, but I wouldn’t do it without following some general testing procedures.

In the very least you could get Express Checkout added through our plugin, but as mentioned, you will need to get Billing Agreements / Reference Transactions specifically approved and enabled on that PayPal account in order to use it, and this can be difficult to get done. You’ll need to be doing pretty high volume, but you could always submit a request and see if they’ll turn it on for you.

Let me know if you have any more questions about any of that. For more direct help you could submit a ticket here and we can get into more details with you.

Ok — I think I understand concerning the gateway.

But I’m trying to access your site to sign up for the free PayPal pro but I’m getting a 503 error on your site for the past 30 minutes.

Concerning the gateway ID — are you referring to the Live API keys such as the Public, Private and Merchant ID keys? Those would be the same for me since I am already using Braintree at this time.

Wouldn’t those remain the same for Woocommerce Subscription plugin to work with?

Sorry for the confusion here ??

Also, I noticed using your Drop in UI there is no CVV field? The 3 digits on back of card.

    Is this really not needed?

@roni_gabriel, About PayPal Pro request, can you share the link where you are applying and getting 503 error?

For gateway ID’s What Andrew means is that Woo has token payments, and these tokens are related to a specific gateway configured on the site.
So there is a gateway_id included at the token record level, If you switch to a new gateway and kill the old gateway, then all of those old token records would still be associated with the previous gateway, so they would have to be updated with the new gateway ID.

Those are actually related to your Braintree sandbox settings and fraud tools. For More you can read here .

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
    Thanks!
