• The plug in is working very well, and I am currently testing using the Paypal sandbox.
    However when Paypal express checkout is used, there is no option to enter the order notes on the woocommerce review page.
    The user journey is:
    1. Basket page – select paypal express
    2. Log in to paypal
    3. Order total and delivery address displayed in Paypal
    4. Click Continue
    5. Review order page displayed on my website. Custom questions that I have added to the woocommerce checkout are displayed (which is great), but no order notes.

    I have tried turning Display ‘add instructions to seller’ on in the Payment receiving preferences page, as I thought this might be necessary looking at other support requests. (Note – I don’t seem to have this option in my live Paypal account).

    Can you please clarify how order notes should be set-up for Paypal express, and where they should be entered (in paypal page or in woocommerce review order page).

    With Express Checkout there should be a way for the customer to leave a note while going through the PayPal review pages. It can be pretty small, though, and easy to miss. Can you provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing after you login to PayPal to review the payment?

    Are you absolutely sure you have the option to allow customer notes enabled in the PayPal profile?

    Yes ‘add instructions to seller’ is set to Yes.I have found the option in my live Paypal account too, under Payment Receiving Preferences, so notes aren’t showing in either the sandbox or live Paypal express page.
    As you have confirmed that it should display on the Paypal page, I guess it is a Paypal problem.
    I think I will just work around it by adding a custom notes field that Paypal customers can enter on the woocommerce order review page.

    Yes, that would be one option. The notes thing could be an issue with the new version of the Express Checkout pages they are using at times.

    You may want to submit a ticket to https://www.paypal.com/mts and provide screenshots like you’ve done here along with the details you’ve outlined. They should be able to provide more details on what’s going on with this.
