Paypal Express Clicks and Disappears

  • For the “Paypal Express” configuration, when my customers place an order, the Paypal button appears fine, however, when they click on it, it spins the ‘waiting’ circle, and then disappears without letting them place an order. If I change the configuration to “Paypal Standard”, and not “Paypal Express” the functionality works fine. (It brings you to Paypal manually and returns you to the site afterward.) This is a stopgap, of course, as the Paypal Express functionality is way easier and in my opinion, better functionality.

    I did find a solution. Hopefully, this helps someone.

    For mine, it was a conflicting plugin: NextGEN Gallery

    I know, it makes NO sense for a gallery app to have caused my problem, but this is how I sought to troubleshoot the issue:

    – I disabled ALL of my plugins except the ones required to test through Woocommerce using the Paypal plugin
    – I tested, and it worked, no longer giving me the problem
    – I re-enabled HALF of my plugins and tested again. It still worked.
    – I re-enabled HALF of the remaining disabled plugins until it stopped working.
    – I continued to enable and disable plugins, until I was able to determine the one that had the problem.

    I cannot promise that this will fix your issue, but try the above process and see if you can find one (or more) plugins that are conflicting. Good luck!

    It look like they are no more supporting here but on their own site or git hub repo.

    I find there more convenient.
