    Hi,
I’ve tried installing the plugin and all seems to work except this:

When I add a coupon on the basket page, the page refreshes and the “PayPal Express” button/s disappears. Inserting buttons top and bottom on both basket and checkout page doesn’t help either. ??

Essentially this prevents customers from being able to checkout.

I’m using the Valenti theme. The process works fine if I don’t add a coupon.

    Any suggestions?

That’s an odd one. There must be some jQuery or something getting triggered in your theme that conflicts with the jQuery that is driving those buttons.

We are going to need to get a copy of that theme so we can test it here and get a fix implemented. Can you temporarily switch to a basic theme to see if it works just to confirm that is indeed the issue?

If that does seem to be the problem, then we would need you to submit a ticket here and provide a copy of that theme for us to work with.

Thanks for the speedy response and feedback. ??

I’ve worked out what I was doing wrong. The coupon reduced the cost to zero, hence the removal of the buttons. Face palm. :/

    I’m now faced with a different issue…
When I complete the form on PayPal I get sent to a PayPal error page stating,
“Sorry – your last action could not be completed”

    Any ideas?

The PayPal error page told me to wait 30 mins for an email. But I’ve seen no order in WooCommerce or PayPal. ??

Could this be an API error? or is there something else I could check?

If you’re getting “Sorry – your last action could not be completed” then there would be nothing done to wait on.

There were some notifications about PayPal’s systems acting up there for a little while, but from what I can see that should be resolved at this point. Is it still happening to you right now?

You may want to try a fresh browser or clear out the cookies/cache in your current browser before trying again. PayPal’s system can get a little screwy with cookies/cache.

    Thank you!! ^_^
That helped and the transaction went through successfully.

    I’ll mark this as resolved.

One niggling concern was when trying to checkout, I click the guest option on PayPal, enter details, click the place order button and got redirected to a different PayPal form, that only allowed payment via logging into an account or by creating an account. So I had to re-enter details. :-/

I’ve ticked the “PayPal Account Optional” option in the WC settings and the associated tick box in my PayPal setting.

That sounds like a sandbox hiccup. Was that in the sandbox or live?

    It was live. :-/

Ok, well, that’s in PayPal’s hands at that point. You may want to clear your browser cache/cookies and see if that helps.

I haven’t had any other complaints of that, but I have noticed some notifications coming through about issues happening with Express Checkout. Go to https://www.paypal-notify.com to sign up there to get those same notifications.

I would imagine it’s just a hiccup that they’ll get resolved before long.

Thank you for your speedy response. I figured it was likely a temporary PayPal issue.

I’ve signed up for notifications, thanks for the tip. ??
