• I have installed this plugin and it worked fine until I read this note in my controlpanel and tried to act accordingly

PayPal Checkout with new Smart Payment Buttons? gives your customers the power to pay the way they want without leaving your site.

The existing buttons will be removed in the next release. Please upgrade to Smart Payment Buttons on the PayPal Checkout settings page.

    How do I correct this?

    Hey @boldt

The PayPal error 10731 isn’t related to the Smart Payment Buttons but is an error related to shipping:

    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/errors/#10731

There’s an error with this transaction. Please enter a country in the shipping address.

For the PayPal Smart Button message, can you let me know if you’re on the latest version of the PayPal Checkout plugin, please? That would be version 1.6.21 if you are, you can dismiss this notice and configure the settings in the PayPal Checkout payment gateway settings.
More details in the documentation here – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-express-checkout/#section-7

I hope this helps, have a great day!

    Thanks,

I am using the latest version 1.6.21 of the plugin.

I am not sure that I understand how I can dismiss the setting.

I do not require neither Billing Addresses nor Phone Number in the settings. I cannot find other settings.

My webshop is in Denmark and I only want to ship to Danish addresses.

I am also using the plugin “Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce” and by reintroduce the country field and pre-define it to Denmark, the error disappeared and the right address was forward to PayPal as well.
(The address issue was a second problem I had. PayPal was using the shipping address instead of the billing address.)

It sounds like your issue is fixed, right? Please let us know if that’s not the case.

    I consider my problem solved.
As I wrote before as soon as I included the country field, preset it to denmark the problems disappeared.
