Paypal error: Things don’t appear to be working at the moment.

After talking to Paypal, it looks like the problem may be with the code sent to Paypal by the Ultra Simple plugin.

It must NOT contain the dollar sign $ in the price:

Are you still having the problem? I’m having the same problem today but with Woocommerce. I’m still in a test environment but PayPal worked fine before March 29th and unfortunatly I just tried it for the first time today since then. It seems that maybe the same message can occur when you can’t connect to PayPal. My server is hosted by SiteGround in Chicago and according to this site, PayPal in Chicago is yellow:

In my case, at one point I had inadvertently changed the Block Non-encrypted Website Payment setting from Off to On in PayPal’s Profile, My Selling Tools, Website Preferences page. Just turning it off made the error go away and PayPal worked fine.

Same issue, but it appears that it only happens when more than one item is in the cart. 1 item works fine. More than 1 nope.
And looking at the output, there are no dollar signs.

At this point the plug in is the one sending this information so it would have to fixed. I apologize the variables your system is doubling are amount_2 and item_number. This is what your system is sending us:

This is what it should be running when the extra values are removed. We tested it and it runs correctly.

Unfortunately, the difficult I can adjust the output your system is sending through some code manipulation. Making direct changes to your plug-in would need to involve someone with more direct programming experience or assistance from the developers of the plug in.

HI, I’ll do tests, from my test website without any problem, with many products cart.
I get some feedback on non $ but € from a website.

I’ll have the example of the website who have this issue, I’m waiting a BO access to check from him.

It looks PayPal do nasty things…

I double check, no $ sign sent to PP, but the amount_x was double (a bad cut / past certainly). I’m not sure if it solves the problem. Can you do an update when available do some feedback ?

Updated, the 4.3.9.5 seem correct that. Tell me if not.
Go to WP update and do it to 4.3.9.5 please.

This plug-in crashed my site last Thursday as I was making updates to several plug-ins and my theme. I have not been able to get it to work since then. I did the update on this Paypal plug-in today and it still does not work.
I have an active page where people make purchases but this plug-in is not working. Are you able to help?

@cessto103 WPUSPSC is not compatible with woocommerce, you must see an message on WPUSPSC interface.
