Paypal Donation not processing payment

Hi @rasworpr,

Happy to help. Can you attach your System info (Donations -> Tools -> System info).

I specifically want to know if you are missing a GiveWP database table. In the GiveWP Configuration section of the System Info page, there’s a list of database tables. Let me know if any of them has a red X next to them.

Next, check for any errors in the logs: Donations -> Tools -> Logs, sort by errors.
Anytime a donation fails on the front end, a related error entry will be recorded.

Finally, check your server error logs too. See if there are any Givewp related errors there.

The database tables are listed fine. There are no errors in the GiveWP log and in the Server’s log.

Hi,

I was able to confirm the issue. There are a few errors that trigger in the browser console when I try to donate:

Those specific errors can be resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting to Paypal.

Thank you for your reply. I disconnect and reconnect the Paypal connection and now I was able to see the Paypal and Donate buttons. I tried entering a credit card information, but when I press donate the animation show like it’s procession but nothing happens. I tried the Paypal button and it does not take me to Paypal.

I removed and reconnected the Paypal connection, but we still cannot process payments.
I am evaluating the product and would really like this solution to work.

Unfortunately if we can’t it working, we will have to move on to another solution since your product does not work as advertised.

Hate to but in — I’m having the exact same problem and our organization has not been able to accept donations (which we badly need) for 3 weeks now. What is going on? I’ve used GIVE for over a year and it was fine. raswropr, have you researched other potential plug-ins? Give has become all kinds of broke, as we can all see by looking at this forum.

Before moving on I am given GiveWP time to resolve this problem. It’s very frustrating to say the least. I sent a screen shot of the latest error and I amhoping to get an answer soon. I have not checked in depth any other plugging as of yet.

GiveWP says that Paypal standard will be deprecated in favor of Paypal donations, but at this point in time Paypal donations is not working.

I wish GiveWP will confirm whether or not Paypal Donations is not usable of this time and give the users a expected time for a fix.

We do have reports of users struggling with PayPal Donations, and 9 out of 10 times, it’s an issue with the connection process. Those users reach out to PayPal directly to get clarity on that via this form:

We are working directly with PayPal on all these types of issues. Sometimes their generic support is not aware of our specific integration, but the people you will interact with via that form know GiveWP intimately and are well-informed on these types of issue.

Lastly, also keep in mind that GiveWP + PayPal Donations is working for the majority of users currently. This means that the problems are either (1) a quirk with the PayPal account itself and it’s support of the new API; or (2) other conflicting scripts or functions on the specific website outside of GiveWP’s control or influence. But regardless of what the source of the problem is, we’re here to help until you have resolution.
