When using PayPal Credit that is just like signing up for a credit card. In order to approve the buyer for credit they need all of this information so they can run a credit check. This is standard procedure for any type of credit product. Note that this only happens if the buyer specifically chooses the PayPal Credit button on your site or chooses PayPal Credit as the funding source when they get into the PayPal checkout pages, and it would only happen the first time they pay this way, of course.

Oh, I see.. I thought paypal credit was for paying with a Credit card?

Which option would you suggest for taking a credit card payment?

Thank you for the quick reply.

    Kharisma.

I’ve had Paypal, Paypal Express, and Paypal Payflow enabled. Which one should I remove?

PayPal Express Checkout will replace the regular PayPal, so you can disable that one. Then you can use PayFlow for the direct credit card processing, which would happen on the site and never redirect to PayPal. You’ll need to get signed up for that if you aren’t already, though. Have you applied for Pro and gotten it turned on?

Thank you! I honestly don’t remember. I have it set up months ago. How do I know if I’ve been approved for the PayFlow or not?

Are you currently paying $30/mo? That’s what they typically charge for Payments Pro. Although, since you’re using our plugin we could get that fee waived for you. If you’re interested in this please submit a request here.

No, I don’t currently pay $30/mo. I just submitted a request! Thanks so much!
