Hey,
I am using your plugin. It’s working fine when paying from paypal balance but when it comes to using cards it’s just charging money from people’s bank accounts and then they are being refunded after hour or so. There are no orders created, nothing that I could get any info from (maybe logs but idk how to check it). Please help or tell me what should I configure?!

In this thread you said that it’s not possible, but customers were showing me bank statements that their money were charged but there were no logs/orders, not even on paypal. I saw somewhere similar issue thread but I can’t remember where it is… I think you can replicate it on your own by trying to buy something with card option with paypal. Money will be blocked/charged by paypal and then after few minutes returned to bank account. I am not sure if it have something to do with me using yith checkout field editor or it’s something else that is causing this.

It’s not possible for this PayPal plugin to process a customer’s payment method if there isn’t a corresponding WooCommerce order. The WooCommerce order is how the PayPal plugin creates the PayPal transaction and captures the payment.

If your customers are being charged somehow, it’s not originating from this plugin. There will always be a PayPal transaction in your PayPal dashboard when this plugin processes a payment.

I think you can replicate it on your own by trying to buy something with card option with paypal.

I am not able to replicate. A WooCommerce order is created and the PayPal transaction ID is associated with it. The payment can be viewed in the PayPal dashboard as expected.

@mrclayton I will try to reinstall plugin and disable extra plugins that can modify checkout (but I dont’t want to disable CURCY currency plugin tho). BTW I am using WP guard plugin, maybe it’s blocking something on website that doesn’t let to create paypal any orders.

EDIT: From bank statement provided by my customer I can see that he paid with UAH currency but it’s not listed supported currency on paypal, maybe that’s why it didn’t get logged and refused by paypal?

From bank statement provided by my customer I can see that he paid with UAH currency but it’s not listed supported currency on paypal, maybe that’s why it didn’t get logged and refused by paypal?

If an unsupported currency is passed to PayPal during the PayPal order create request, the request will fail. In the log file you provided, the request was rejected because the currency code RON was used.

If PayPal rejects a request, that means no payment can be taken, at least not from within the plugin. The issue you’re having is not caused by the PayPal plugin from my analysis.
