PayPal conversion not tracked

I understand that pixels aren’t getting fired with PayPal orders. Allow me to provide some clarification.

We generally recommend?avoiding off-site payment gateways?because they impair the conversion tracking significantly. We’ve seen conversion tracking drops to 20% of what should have been measured. Such low tracking accuracy as a consequence also impairs campaign optimization.

Here’s a list of off-site payment gateways that you need to avoid:

• The PayPal standard payment gateway that comes pre-installed with WooCommerce
• All payment gateways on the following?list. (Maybe some of them can be configured to be used on-site. In that case you can use them.)

Off-site payment gateways, like Paypal, often don’t redirect the buyer back to the WooCommerce store’s purchase confirmation page. This is where the tracking pixels fire and transmit the conversions. If the redirect is broken, you see the type of issue you describe.
