    Hello:

It appears that I may be experiencing a conflict between Clean Talk and PayPal. The LMS I’m using has an integration with PayPal that was working correctly, until recently. I contacted LearnDash, they investigated and discovered that the conflict is with CleanTalk. Below is their reply.

Thank you for your patience. The issue you are experiencing is related to CleanTalk not LearnDash. It appears CleanTalk is removing the form post parameter needed by PayPal (please see video) . You should try excluding the course purchase forms from the CleanTalk logic.

“There does appear to be an option in that plugin to protect external forms (see screenshot) but not sure if turning this off will resolve the issue. If it doesn’t you might need to reach out to the plugin developer.

As they suggested I deactivate your “Protect External Forms” as they suggested, but that didn’t resolve the problem.”

Please follow the links provided and investigate the problem. Visitors are currently unable to purchase our Courses.

I’ve assigned a price of $1.00 to one of the two courses on our website, so that you can confirm the results for yourself Write2Press.com> Programs> Are We A Good Match> Take This Course

Thank you for your prompt attention,
    Miguel

    Hello, Miguel.

    Thank you for your request.

We are working on this issue and we will contact you on the results as fast as possible.

    Sorry for the inconveniences.

    Your CleanTalk Control Panel: [ https://cleantalk.org/my/ ].

    Best regards.

    Hello,

We inspected the problem and it looks like something is broken. We have edited the page with developer tool and sent the form without CleanTalk’s check and we still are getting this error “AMOUNT_ERROR”. The video is here.

Please, disable CleanTalk and check your form without it and let us know the results.

    Hi Serge:

I wish I could report otherwise, but I deactivated CleanTalk, and it’s still not connecting to PayPal. That worries me because it appeared that CleanTalk was responsible, what does it mean now that it’s deactivated?

Is it possible that there are still remnants that are interfering?

    Hello, Miguel.

Please, do the following to erase the CleanTalk plugin completely from your website:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.

Then test PayPal related activity again.

Please, inform us on the results.

    Thank you.

    Hi:

Sigh… I’ve deactivated and deleted CleanTalk. I’ve cleared my Browsing History including my Cookies and that problem persists. I’m still unable to connect to PayPal.

We are sorry to hear that.

When you delete the CleanTalk plugin it can no longer interfere the payment process in any way.

Please, contact your webmaster to set up PayPal connection.

If you need any assistance concerning our plugin feel free to send us message anytime.

    Your CleanTalk Control Panel: [ https://cleantalk.org/my/ ].

    Kind regards.

    Hi:

Unfortunately, there appear to be remnants of CleanTalk CODE stuck somewhere in the site code, because even though it was Deactivated and Deleted, the attached video shows that CleanTalk continues to be interfering with my PayPal connection:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/t30zlfxf6d277u1/20170717-082450-evvsf.mp4?dl=0

Would you please investigate this further. I’ve been unable to make sales directly from the website for over a month and I need to correct that A.S.A.P. It only makes sense that you would be the best ones to search for and remove the interfering code, because you will also need to fix the original glitch, anyway.

Thanks for your prompt attention to this serious issue,
    Miguel

    Hello Again:

To reconfirm what’s going on, I once again, with CleanTalk removed from my site, attempted to make a purchase, but the message from PayPal continues to appear.

I then reinstalled and reactivated CleanTalk and the CleanTalk error message once again shows for a few seconds, before the PayPal message.

I’m at a disadvantage here because I DON’T KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE, but as long as that CleanTalk Error message appears, I have to believe that CleanTalk is interfering with the process.

PLEASE take the time to investigate this thoroughly. You’re welcome to log into the back end of my site as an Administrator and test, as I just did, what happens with and without CleanTalk installed and activated.

Here are the credentials I’ve setup for you:

    Role: Administrator

    Sorry for the inconveniences.

did you try reconfiguring paypal? I have both PayPal and cleantalk on my site, and have never had any issues…

Usually when cleantalk blocks something, which does happen on rare occasion, I go and find it in the log in the dashboard and find the occurance, and just whitelist the IP address. But I’ve never had it interfere wtih my paypal forms.

is it fixed, or still broken? maybe I can look at it for you. I’m a pretty good troubleshooter.

Oh, it does say resolved at the top…my bad. Sorry.

    Hi Donna:

Thanks for the suggestion v.v. the Log and White Listing.

My problem and solution were far simpler. I’d absent-mindedly used US instead of USD as the currency code to connect with PayPal. Once I changed that everything was honkey dorey.

    Thanks again for your time,
    Miguel
