    Hi,

    I just set up an website and I’m trying to test out the payment method and it gets weird…

    When trying to pay from my checkout page iwhiteboardanimations.com/checkout/ and trying to test out PayPal Checkout in sandbox mode I get this error…’Things don’t appear to be working at the moment.’ So here’s where the weird thing is happening, if I want to make the payment directly from the cart page iwhiteboardanimations.com/cart/ the test is successful and I get the order in my dashboard. Even weirder, it seems that the standard PayPal works well, but for some reason when using the PayPal Checkout I get that annoying error.

    I’ve been searching on the internet all day to try find a solution, but I didn’t found any solutions.

    I’ve tried everything from disabling all plugins to using the default storefront theme, none of these worked.

    Can you please see if there are any errors in the logs?

    Once enabled, try to make a payment to see if any errors will be logged. You can access logs by navigating to WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Hi @rodionu,

    Sorry for the wait on this reply. Looking through the logs it seems that everything is hitting the Sandbox and then returning the message Things do not appear to be working at this moment. . Unfortunately that is a big Catch All error from PayPal and can relate to many things. Some of the most common items are:

    – Making sure that the Sandbox account information is correctly listed in the PayPal plugin, and linked correctly in Sandbox/Dev side on PayPal. More on making sure it is linked correctly can be found in the Sandbox walkthrough. Basically, make sure your Sandbox email credentials are linked to your Dev account correctly and that it is in the PayPal settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Checkout.

    – If you have SG Optimizer, during testing make sure the MEMCACHED option is disabled. You can do this with your Host as it involves options in the CPANEL as well as in the plugin itself. If you go this route, be sure to clear your browser cache as well. More on how to do that is here.

    – Remove all items in the PayPal Checkout plugin and re-enter them, saving it. This in effect refreshes everything, afterwards do a test payment and see if it works.
