paypal checkout problem

  • With the shopping cart empty,The page shows the PAY BY PAYPAL banner even though Paypal is not an accepted gateway for this product.(As set up with the plug in).If you add this product to your cart, and go to checkout , Paypal is not offered as a payment option, which is correct.
    Once this product is in the cart and you choose another product which does not have Paypal as an option,the PAY By Paypal banner is not shown eon this second products page
    Problem is that with an empty cart , a customer who goes to a product page where Paypal is not accepted, sees the Paypal banner, and only when he gets to the checkout does he know that Paypal is not available . Totally pissed off customer and a lost sale probably!

    Where a product is shown on a page but out of stock the problem doesnt show ,as you would expect

    Very sorry for the late response, for some reason I don’t get email notifications on new posts.

    I’ve checked your store, and for the payment option on the product page, this can’t be handled by the plugin (so it can’t hide PayPal that you have on the product page, only works on checkout as payment methods appear there by default).

    For your issue that having two products in the cart, the plugin works with an OR not AND, so not all products in cart MUST be hidden from a specific gateway, if one product matches this setting (product A can’t be paid with PayPal for example), then anytime product A is in the cart, you will not be able to pay with PayPal.
