PayPal changed IP adresses for Instant Payment Notification (IPN)

    Hi!
    PayPal sent me the following message, do I need to change something? Are the new IP adresses included in the plugin?

    “As communicated via email in the first week of December2020, PayPal is expanding the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) infrastructure that notifies merchants of events related to the status of PayPal transactions. With this change, seven new IP addresses have been added from which IPNs will be sent since January 18, 2021. Below are all the IP addresses that will be used for the IPN.

    66.211.170.66
    173.0.81.1
    173.0.81.0/24
    173.0.81.33
    173.0.81.65 (New)
    173.0.81.140 (New)
    64.4.240.0/21 (New)
    64.4.248.0/22 (New)
    66.211.168.0/22 (New)

    Request for action

    If you implement an access control list (ACL) or filters on IP addresses for IPNs received from PayPal, we request that you add the above IP addresses before May 1, 2021. This will prevent missing IPNs from PayPal.

    Hello @flingodesign,

    Great question. Most likely you wouldn’t need to do anything. If there is any type of firewall or security plugins on the site that block incoming notifications, you may need to add these new IP addresses to their allowed list. Otherwise, you should be good to go.
