    We have frustrating issues with the PayPal card checkout form not appearing on Ipad/Apple devices. I’m deaing with customer’s daily who are reporting the card form as missing – I’ve attemted to re-create the issue using an iphone wherethe card form is showing fine and an Ipad, where the card form did not load, however after reloading the page it did appear.

    Have any reports been made of the PayPal card form not working correctly on the safari browser?

    Hi @jethrohazelhurst

    On the first page, it may take a few seconds for the Advanced Card Processing form to load as the gateway is created asynchronously when the PayPal SDK fully loaded.
    In any case, when users encounter potential problems on your site with older mobile devices, the best recommendation is to use a modern web browser like Firefox or Chrome.

    Do you know which iOS or mobile Safari versions were used when such issues are reported? Older iOS devices may not support the latest web technologies, which could potentially interfere with the PayPal smart button and Advanced Card Processing functionality.
    Mobile Safari versions in iOS 10 and higher were found to be working well for the most part. But on older versions, the PayPal buttons and Advanced Card Processing fields may fail to render entirely.

    So beyond unsupported browsers, we are not aware of any issues causing the card fields to not show up. Cookie consent plugins could potentially prevent the PayPal script from loading, but this likely would affects both the card fields and the PayPal button together.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi, all;

    We’ve been having the same issue for a while now.
    It seems to only affect IOS Safari browsers, and only some of the time.

    I’ve not been able to recreate the issue on any of my devices/virtual devices, however our client is being contacted daily by repeat customers wondering where the card payment option is.

    Occasionally, an affected customer can login, or create an account and the options show, while sometimes that doesn’t work. Other times, clearing their browser cache fixes it, but sometimes that doesn’t work either.

    Does PayPal have a system that will block the card fields from showing if certain criteria aren’t met?

    Thanks, Toby

    Our latest client with a problem yesterday was on an iphone 8 but some ipads and other apple devices have had the same issue with the Paypal card payments option not appearing. This is a regular occurrence which is impacting on our sales.
