Hi, i’m using a custom theme for a website i’m developing, but i have a little problem, the PayPal button show up on the cart and single product page when i enable them, but it won’t show up on the checkout page, i only see the default “Place Order” button from woocommerce although paypal is selected, and when i click it it gives me this error message “No PayPal order found in the current WooCommerce session.” Can you please assist me ?

    Thank you

    Hi @bobiman13,

Do you encounter this issue only with your custom theme or also with a default theme like Storefront?
The “Place order” button on the Checkout page is supposed to be replaced with the PayPal smart buttons. If the button isn’t removed, there are likely some errors in the browser console. Could you maybe share a link to your site?
The code to replace the button could be also impacted by unrelated JS errors in the frontend, so it would also be good to check if the behavior persists with a default theme and all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments disabled.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Hi Niklas, i was encountering the error with my custom theme only yes, but i downgraded the plugin to 1.7.0 i found a post that had the same issue like me, and downloaded the 1.7.0 version of the plugin, the problem is now fixed. The button is there, but now, when i add Credit or Debit Cards, they appear like a radio button, not with the button “Debit or Credit Card” with the wallet in front of the text. Unfortunately i can’t send you a link to my website, because it’s being developed in Local environment.

    Thanks

    Hi @bobiman13,

PayPal Payments provides either the default credit card smart button (the black one) or alternatively the PayPal Card Processing as a separate payment gateway (optional): https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#paypal-card-processing-acdc

Using version 1.7.0 is not a viable long-term solution so we’d preferably find out more about the nature of the conflict you experience.
Could you maybe send us a copy of your custom theme from here?: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
If yes, please include a copy of your system report and a link to this thread.
    Thanks!

One new addition in version 1.7.1 is the “Place order” button is immediately hidden and then replaced with a spinner until the smart buttons are loaded.
This prevents buyers from clicking the regular “Place order” button as it would create a failed order and throw the error you mentioned.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

This should be resolved in the latest version, so I’ll mark this thread resolved.

    Thank you! ??
