PayPal buttons won’t show anymore

    Hello.

    After some updates my “Buy now” buttons don’t appear anymore on my WooCommerce page. In my cart when I choose the option “PayPal” the checkout button just won’t appear. Is there any know solution to this?

    I have checked your site, and it seems that something is blocking the display of the PayPal button, despite the button.js scripts loading correctly.

    To get to the bottom of this, you may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin.
    Please create a backup of the site first before proceeding.

    We recommend temporarily activating the?default theme Storefront?and disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists.

    I have solved or rather worked around the problem. Obviously a script by the service at “www.e-recht24.de” caused the problem.

    This script blocked the buttons:

    <script type="application/javascript" src="https://sdp.eu.usercentrics.eu/latest/uc-block.bundle.js">

    It is a service that should make German websites align to European data security. So I will investigate whether I can make that work…

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Cookie consent solutions may be able to prevent any external scripts from being loaded on the website.

    The PayPal Payments plugin enqueues the right script to initiate the smart buttons, but when another plugin blocks the connection to PayPal, then the buttons may not be loaded. This wiki page contains a few more details about the scripts that are expected to load.

    Your best chance at resolving this behavior would be with the support of your cookie consent solution. I hope this helps!
