    Hey there!

Can you please send a link to the site you are seeing this on? We’d like to be able to replicate this and see what’s going on.

    Hello @slash1andy

It’s been a few days since I have turned off the smart buttons and left the standard buttons on. Here is my site https://www.visibledeals.com/

please let me know if you want me to turn on the smart buttons but I cant keep it on for too long since customers are not able to checkout that way.

    Thanks

    Hey there!

I think that this issue might be related: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/issues/773

I reported that one, it has to do with outdated browsers. Do you by chance know the iOS/mobile Safari versions that those customers having issues on were using?

    Hello AW,

I noticed this issue on my android Samsung internet version 11.2.2.3 as well as my chrome browser version 83.0.4103.106 in my android. What’s interesting is that when i cleared the browser history on my Samsung internet the smart buttons would start showing up and disappear after some time and reappear if I clear the browser history. However, I could not get the chrome browser to show the button at all. I tried the same thing on my iPad and the smart buttons appeared after clearing the browser history than disappeared again after some time. I do not have the iPad with me so I do not know its browser version. I tried on my wife’s phone and her Samsung s5 won’t show the buttons no matter what.

@visibledeals, yes, it’s because some browsers are old and the API of PayPal is missing the compatibility, I think we can make a temporary solution, to add two buttons to the website (smart and legacy), if the smart doesn’t show up, we can load the legacy button, I think the percentage of people who have old browsers are 10%, so 10% of conversions might not be tracked if the customers don’t return back to the store after the PayPal payment. If you have only one website, you can setup auto redirection from PayPal and use the legacy PayPal button until they solve the problem. PayPal Express Checkout is way better, it shows the transaction on the order details unlike the legacy button but we should keep payments going. The problem has already been reported on GitHup here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/issues/773

    Thanks for the info ??

Thank you @moderns for the help! @visibledeals – We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
