I’m having the exact same issue. Customers even get charge (temporary hold) but there is no invoice, no failed order, no PayPal receipt, nothing. Shows absolutely nothing, i only know customer tried because they send me pictures of the bank with the hold.
The rare thing is that some do work, which is extra weird. There must be something wrong in the plugin or within PayPal themselves.
AGAIN some do work, so everything is setup correctly, and matter fact is the only issue IDEAL I take payment from all over Europe, they all work perfect. NO issues at all
i called paypal, they straight up told me is the third party plug in issue.
i have hide the payment method IDEAL because my customer believe they are getting scammed upon receiving absolutely no record of the transaction except in their bank.
One more important thing, this happened with the old plug in getting unsupported in March 2022 as well as new plug in updated with the post march version.
Also important, this is strictly a paypal issue, when i was using stripe, never had this issue.
