PayPal account optional turning off

    Hello

    Last week I did an update form my website and now I am running WP 5.5.1 and Give 2.8.0. I have as payment only paypal standard, which worked without problems. After the update I see that in the Paypal page appear the option to pay with credit card. I was reading many post and finally I went to PayPal account optional-> and I set up as off, but I still see the credit card option. I asked Paypal but still waiting…… Is something I am missing?

    Any help will be really appreciate, because I need to solve this ASAP.

    Hello again

    I have just realized the following:
    1.- If I completed the form with an email, for which I have an paypal account, the donation go directly.
    2.- If I complete the form with an account, for which I don’t have any paypal account then I have the option so pay with paypal or credit card.

    I am confused now because the people form paypal told me that the function” Pay as a guess” is only available in Germany.. Most of my donors are based in Switzerland, so really tricky to get an appropriate answer.

    Hi Marcela,

    Happy to clarify. If you are using GiveWP wiht Paypal standard, the option to pay with a credit card or with Paypal balance will depend entirely on the donor’s Paypal settings and location.

    It’s beyond the control of GiveWP settings.
