As of now, PayPal Payments is not yet compatible with WooCommerce Blocks however, our developers are working on it.

There is an open issue reported to add PayPal Payments support to the new Checkout block: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/issues/211

And, as per the discussion over there – Support for Cart and Checkout Blocks is planned but it will take longer than originally anticipated.

When the new Blocks are no longer a feature plugin and become a core part of WooCommerce, then PayPal Payments will certainly be ready for it. But there is currently no timeframe for support of the Blocks feature plugin.

You can subscribe to that issue so that you are updated and notified about the progress of the same.
