• We had our blog set up by a third party who we are no longer in contact with. We have no clue what we’re doing. We were simply taught how to post our blogs and that’s all. Through our research we found that we have a paid host. Our question is, is it possible that if this host isn’t paid, we will be locked out of our blog?

We are unable to reach our admin log-in page and keep getting this message: “Sorry, the page your requested could not be found, or no longer exists.”

Any suggestions or trouble shooting tips are very much appreciated.

Also, since it is a paid host…who/where do we pay?

That’s correct. Whoever’s email is set as the administrator of the hosting account will typically receive a warning email regarding the unpaid invoice. If he/she fails to pay by the deadline, all access to the domain and hosting account will be cut off until the invoice is paid.

It looks like your entire /wp-admin/ directory is missing. Just download WordPress and upload a new copy.

According to Is My Blog Working?, you’re hosted by GoDaddy. You should contact them.

Thank you very much for your thorough answer!

In reply to downloading WordPress and uploading a new copy:

How do we get all of our current stuff moved over? Or is that even necessary? We have quite a few posts.

    Thanks again for your help!

You don’t need to worry about your content or settings. You’re just uploading a new set of administration files. Your content and settings are safely stored in the MySQL database.

What did you mean by “upload a new copy?” Once we’ve downloaded WordPress again.

Access your server via FTP or SFTP and upload the /wp-admin/ directory from the WordPress download to your server.
