• We decided to change the currency setting from EUR to CHF although we have already sold some tickets via Paypal.

    Now we are getting mails with “PayPal receiver email did not match account or payment currency did not match payment on 471”
    Which could be correct of the plugin’s view.

    But we don’t have a record in wp_posts with ID 471 (eventually deleted)

    Are you saying that you deleted payment ID 471? Did you delete it before or after you started receiving these messages?

    OK. So the reason you’re receiving that message is because PayPal is attempting to provide a payment notification for that purchase, but the purchase doesn’t exist. This means that Paypal repeatedly receives an error message, so it continues to retry the IPN. In this case, it is because the currency didn’t match, technically – the currency would have come up as false, which isn’t going to match for anything.

    I don’t think this has anything to do with your currency change, just that you deleted the purchase before Paypal resolved it.

    One issue I’m having is I am flooded with emails saying:

    WordPress <[email protected]> Today at 2:58 AM
    To
    [email protected]
    PayPal receiver email did not match account or payment currency did not match payment

    It looks like it’s from my tickets, but I don’t have my tickets. It is only doing this from my MD Theatre Guide site and not my others.

    Any advice?
