    This issue happens when the first attempt to pay by customer fails due to any reason (insufficient funds, payer authentication failed, etc.) and then the customer is redirected to the cart with the order failed notification.

    After this if the customer attempts to pay again with another card and is successful, the customer is redirected to order-received page with a failed order notification.

    My payment gateway logs show that the second attempt was successful, but woocommerce only shows first attempt and order failed message.

    Another issue is also that for some orders, the stock gets reduced twice and the order notes are also duplicated.

    Hi @nareshsurendran. Which payment gateway are you using? It would be best to post in the forum thread for the payment gateway rather than here, since this forum is for the core WooCommerce plugin. Order status updates are usually done through communication with your payment gateway.
