I would like to buy some extensions but just don’t want to use my credit card or PayPal info on the oceanWP website.
Can I transfer money (thru PayPal) in some other way?

Hello, when you pay via PayPal, you don’t pay via oceanwp.org but directly PayPal ??

I understand. I just don’t want to use mij PayPal login on a website other then paypal.com, it feels pretty unsave.
I like your product and trust the team behind OceanWP but this is a conversion killer. A lot of times I’ve spend $10 for stuff I don’t need, you’re stuff I do need but I already left your checkout three times without buying.
Their al lot of easy ways to pay in a save way without vulnerability risks.

The PayPal popup on the checkout page is paypal.com, except that instead of being redirected to a new page, the popup open, you can check online, there are no vulnerability risks paying this way, your PayPal login details cannot be saved via my site, it is only via PayPal.
The credit card too cannot be saved via oceanwp.org, it is via Stripe, both payments methods are safe.
I use the Easy Digital Downloads addons for Stripe and the PayPal popup, you can ask them for more details but in no case, your payment details are saved in oceanwp.org.

    Hi, maybe that’s why I don’t trust what’s happening.
You are talking about a popup but there are only inline field. No popup, no redirect, nothing that indicates it’s PayPal.
This (the link) is a PayPal solution that i’m familiar with, it also sounds like you’re talking about this but it’s not in use at oceanwp.org: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/express-checkout/ec_checkout_flow_details/

I use this addon for PayPal which is even more secure than the PayPal standard: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/paypal-pro-express/
I don’t know how to make you feel that there is no risk but I can assure you it is 100% secure.

Hey ragaels, couldn’t help to oversee this post. For your information, both the In-Context Checkout popup and redirecting to PayPal site is both methods in the official build of PayPal payment plugin. There’s no way of tampering with this and it would make no sense for OceanWP to practice payment methods that weren’t industry standard in terms of security.

The way you can always tell is by looking at what URL that’s being called in the address bar, and if in doubt take a look at the SSL information (little lock).

Trust me, you won’t regret getting the premium bundle. I definitely haven’t. ??

Thnx for you reply OceanWP and Danstah.
Now I know what went wrong. I’m a logged in user. When entering the shopping cart I choose PayPal and login (not making an account). Then I have to fill out my login info (this is no popup), I thougt that I had to fill out my PayPal info but it’s the OceanWP login AGAIN (This is a field within you website so not save to leave my PayPal shizzle)
After that I get redirected to PayPal and it’s al nice and secure ??

I tryied to make a printscreen but even with removing cookies I can’t get back to that screen again. Now I get my Firstname, Lastname and e-mailadress and a button to pay with PayPal.

For me, the shopping cart experience was not totaly fluent.
When you ask a logged in user PayPal-questions with a big PayPal logo above to login to your website that’s confusing, atleast to me.
If you need help to reproduce this ‘issue’ I can help you.
Please send me a DM so I can add same pictures. If you think nothing is wrong with the shopping cart experience that’s also fine by me. ??

Hello, unfortunately, I cannot change the checkout page, it is not up to me but the plugin I use to sell my addons.
