Payment gateways not showing on donation form

  • I am almost pulling my hair here as I have no idea what I am missing or what is wrong.

    Basically, I have GiveWP installed on fresh WordPress installation and the Paystack for Give plugin, but for the life in me, I cannot get it to show in the donation form. All I get is the test notice.

    I have disabled the test mode, cleared the cache, even rolled back PHP to 8.0 but it just won’t work. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

  • Click on settings in Donation, then go to payment gateway and enable the checkbox for paystack, note in the general option change your location to your country location and ur currency to your country currency. if your country currency and location are not the same paystack wont work in give as they dont support all locations. reach out if u need more assistance

    You need to ensure the payment gateway is enabled for payments. You can do that by enabling it under Donations → Settings → Payment gateways → gateways. There, you will have the option-based forms and the visual builder forms (VFB).

    I saw you are using VFB. In this case, you need to ensure Paystack is enabled for it.

    One thing you need to check is if Paystack is compatible with GiveWP visual form builder. Otherwise, it won’t work. If you find out that Paystack is not compatible with GiveWP 3.0 forms, then I suggest you enable in on the option-based forms, and then use v2 forms (legacy, classic and multi-step forms) instead.

    I found this very frustrating. It makes no sense to developers that functioning gateways established for many legacy forms won’t work with visual form builder. Why would anyone know they were separated in a buried global settings area of the plugin?

    Furthermore, it’s not explained in the obvious place many would look: the Give Help docs

    Even if there’s a technical reason at least make a note in the builder! Like so:

    When building in a visual form > Build tab > Payment Details module, show a note in the right column Block area: “Ensure your Payment Gateways are enabled for Visual Form Builder.” Then link to the Give Settings Gateways where the tab is.
