    Hi

We use Woocommerce Stripe plugin for selling books etc and Paid Membership pro Stripe integration to sell memberships.

A customer from China recently successfully purchased a membership.

A week later, they tried to buy a book through your Woocommerce, but it failed several times.

Do you know why this is?

    Thanks

  • Hi @samgardiner,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the payment issue. I’m here to help! Firstly, could you please confirm if the customer is encountering any error messages during the checkout process? This information will assist us in diagnosing the issue more accurately.

In the meantime, let’s explore a few steps to troubleshoot the problem:

    Check Payment Gateway Settings:

    • Ensure that your Stripe settings are correctly configured in WooCommerce. Verify the API keys and other relevant details.
    • Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Stripe to review the setup.

Test with a Different Payment Method:

    • Ask the customer to try an alternative payment method (e.g., credit card, PayPal) to see if the issue persists.

    Review Transaction Logs:

    • Check the WooCommerce logs for any clues. You can find these under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
    • Look for any error messages related to the failed transactions.

    Geolocation Restrictions:

    • Stripe may have geolocation restrictions that affect payments from certain countries. Confirm if this is the case for China.
    • If needed, adjust the settings in your Stripe account.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
