On my website I can see the fields for creditcard information on the checkout page but the fields are not being filled.

  • Hi I’m having the same problem – when I go to put the CC details in it doesn’t let me do this. So I can’t put the numbers in – not sure if its a CSS problem or what but I can’t take a payment as a result.

    Hi there, @chassa2556 and @sarahroman,

First things first: Stripe requires and SSL to work properly. If you don’t have a valid SSL, Stripe will disable the credit card fields.

If you do have an SSL, and you’ve double checked that you’ve entered the correct API credentials, do you still see the error using the Storefront theme?

OK thanks for coming back so quick – the site is definately SSL. How do I tell if its valid? Its showing as a locked padlock on the URL window. Will it mess up the site if I temporarily disable the theme and activate another theme…? I don’t want to mess up my site..the site url is https://wagwins.co.uk

    Hi again, @chassa2556,

I took a look at your site, and I’m seeing a lot of console errors on the checkout page. A lot of them are coming from Advanced Custom Fields, so a full conflict test is in order.

First, you’ll want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then test. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you. If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one to see where the issue is coming from.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

OK thanks so much Ross – I disabled the advanced custom fields plugins and it worked!! Thanks so much for your help
