    Hi there,
I am facing an issue with godady payments. When I enter wrong billling address and correct card details, and place order, it will create the order and in “my-account ” page it shows the error notice “Your billing address doesn’t match your payment card information. Please update the billing address to submit your order.” If the AVS does not match it should not process payments.
Also can you tell me that only zip code or city matched by AVS or it will match complete address. because I test it by placing order with wrong billing address and it creates my order and show notice error on my account page

    Hello @abdulmoiz222,

I understand you have orders coming in that reflect a billing address error only after they are placed. I’m sorry to hear this is happening.

In September, GoDaddy Payments added an additional address verification check (known as AVS check) for exact billing address matching. Originally they were only using the billing postal code, and found that merchants were getting a large amount of fraudulent orders placed and then chargebacks made to collect the funds from those transactions. Once they added the billing address matching, those charges have been almost eliminated for most of our merchants. It is much more difficult to find an address that exactly matches what a bank has on file for a credit card than it is for a matching postal code.

In most cases, we will see the order created, but the payment will not process and the order status on the WordPress side will switch to Pending Payment or Failed.

Would you mind clarifying if you are seeing the payments within your GoDaddy Payments transactions list, and what status you are seeing for these orders under your WordPress Dashboard?

    Cheers,
